The Bunker house is such a beautiful cottage at a very offbeat location. Has a proper vintage vibe to it. Rooms are super cozy and comfortable. Hand made decorations add more beauty to this place. Last but not the least, they serve homemade delicious food. The host (Shubham) of this place is also an amazing person and traveller who makes sure that the stay is perfect. Much recommend and five stars from my side. Cheers

They say "A home is where the Anchor ⚓ drops", Well I dropped mine ⚓ at The Bunker House 1970. We were a group of 5 cousins (all girls) aging from 16 to 26. Believe me when I say “Athithi Devo Bhava” is practiced by hosts here. I'll try to cover all the topics while making you wonder when to visit here. Serene landscape- The location makes it the perfect escape from city husle, you get a 360° view of Himalayas and THE VIEW? Breathtaking? Nah! It's very Calm, has the soothing vibe attached nothing less. To get here we trekked up for about 10 minutes from kalga base ( we walked slow). Service - The hosts Rohit and Shubham along with the dogs made us feel the place like our own. They provide every possible amenity ranging from geyser to temperature scale. Tip- feed the dogs and they'll tag along with your hikes. Cleanliness - This was the main concern while looking for an offbeat location, Well the Rooms and Washrooms were CLEAN and Well kept. Sheets were clean and so was floor. Food - We had home-cooked hygienic meals with regional touch. Good amount of servings per person. Both hosts cooked for me, differently. Security - As an All-Girl-Gang we couldn't ask for anything safer, Rohit and Shubham are the hosts one can't even expect. Cost- Very affordable, we were under budget. Best things to do: Relax and get overwhelmed with the serenity of this place, hike up through the beautiful trails to the beautiful treks, Lit bonfire if the weather allows. "Have I seen it ALL?" I ask myself. Sunset, sunrise, rainfall, snowfall, night sky and what not. The answer I get "I think that's not there ALL". So I'll visit again and look for the other-ALL.
